The United Nations is an organisation which focus on peace, dignity and equality across the world. A big part of their work focuses on children and ensuring that their rights are recognised and protected.
All the rights, which every child on the planet are protected by, are listed in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child (UNCRC). You may already be aware of many of these rights, as you may attend a Rights Respecting School.
The rights are designed to ensure that children survive and thrive in a range of situations.
One of the rights that all children is the right to an education which tries to develop their personality and abilities as much as possible.
