Simply select the group you are interested in to explore the modules available. Have fun!
This module focuses on developing a child’s approach to learning. By looking at skills already acquired, plus biological evidence of how our brains grow, individuals can set goals for themselves for future learning. The module also reinforces the attitude behind a growth mindset and the fact that our brains continue to respond to new learning and challenges throughout our lives.
Mindset | Brain Development | Self-Awareness
So, the Primary 7’s have made it all the way to Big School, but what now? In this lesson pupils will ensure that they are aware of the supports available in their new school. They will then identify what a successful S1 will look like, and create a route to success.
Transition | Ambition | Mindset
Often we don’t know how much we value life until something changes, or someone threatens to take something away from us. How we choose to think about things really does matter and occasionally it’s healthy to remind ourselves of just what’s important.
Mindset | Bravery | Relationships
Maybe you’re more of a dog or a cat person, but for this module we’re going to introduce you to a brand new pet of yours. A pet that’s actually been with you for quite a while, and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.
Gratification | Self Regulation | Emotional Intelligence
Us humans love to pretend that we are in control of ourselves. But when it comes down to it, each and every one of us are a walking talking cocktail of chemical reactions. Sometimes we feel great, sometimes not so much – the only thing that stays the same is change.
Emotional Intelligence | Stress
Experiencing loss is not fun and talking about it definitely isn’t exciting. But it’s real and it impacts us all, affecting us in different ways at different times throughout our lives. Ironically, talking about it is one of the few things that makes it easier to deal with.
Loss | Change | Emotions
We all have to be captains now and then. We all have to take control of our own boats and decide how much effort we want to put in, and in what direction. It’s not always easy, but, just like anything else, it gets better with practice.
Responsibility | Leadership | Maturity
Decisions are everywhere. Young people are faced with more choices, options, and alternatives than ever before. Sometimes we decide not to make important choices, ironically, that in itself is a decision. But are all these decisions truly your own to make?
Decision-making | Self-awareness | Mindset
You’ve seen people do the high jump before. And the long jump. And maybe even the triple jump. But if there was an Olympic event dedicated to jumping to conclusions, then your brain would be right up there with the best of the best, potentially even the gold medal winner!
Self-Awareness | Problem Solving | Emotional Regulation
From a young age, whenever things don’t go well, we often point the finger at someone or something else. Many of us appear to have an in-built blame shield. It’s oftn easier to blame others but is this good for us? Does it help us grow and develop?
Ownership | Responsibility | Leadership
It’s a busy world out there. There’s lots happening and it seems like everyone has an endless ‘to-do’ list. It can be a bit overwhelming at times. Best that you arm yourself with a superpower that you rarely see these days.
Time Management | Self-Management | Productivity
What if we told you that there were some top secret tools that you could use to achieve all of your goals far quicker? Would you be interested in finding out more about them? What if we then told you that these tools were actually not top secret at all…
Habits | Discipline | Self-improvement
Biases. Errors. Approximations. Fallacies. When you really look into it, you’ll realise that our mind is a minefield of mistakes. Mistakes which, believe it or not, are fully responsible for generating millions of pounds in one particular industry.
