We’re delighted to have been awarded Professional Recognition status by GTC Scotland for the ground-breaking VIBE for Middle Leaders Programme.

VIBE leadership development programmes have been delivered with huge success across the business sector for a number of years. Having worked with leaders across the education landscape for the past 18 years, delivering personal and professional development training for teachers and pupils, the team at Tree of Knowledge recognised the challenges faced by
schools in supporting the professional development of Middle Leaders.

Headed up by Alice Beveridge, Director, Speaker, Positive Psychologist and former teacher at Tree of Knowledge, and building upon a fantastic working partnership with Alloa Academy, VIBE has been redesigned to deliver a transformational leadership experience that strikes the balance of values based leadership, theory, coaching and fun professional
learning. The programme will support Middle Leaders in schools as they move through their careers in education, easing the transition from reflective classroom practitioners to self-evaluative, enquiring leaders.

Colin Bruce, Head Teacher at Alloa Academy says; “The VIBE leadership experience stands out from many leadership opportunities that our staff have engaged in. I have been really impressed to see my colleagues better able to understand their own leadership strengths, areas for development and to freely try out new leadership styles, which means they can now lead their own teams more effectively. Each member of the team that engaged on VIBE have come out of each session buzzing – they are clearly charged and energised with the learning that has inspired them. We share a drive to elicit the best in others and make a difference to the lives of leaders and the people they support. ”

Alice Beveridge, Director at Tree of Knowledge says; “We are delighted to have received this kitemark that truly reflects the quality & in-depth nature of our training. VIBE is grounded in the GTCS Standards for Leadership and Management and applied positive psychology theory. We’ve honed VIBE over the 18 months it took to gain this status, and we are grateful to GTC Scotland for helping us to create the best programme that we possibly can.
We are incredibly excited that this programme has the ability to develop new leaders in schools across Scotland, to improve the professional experience for the teacher, and the learning experience for pupils.”

VIBE combines a range of workshops, action learning sets, 1:1 coaching, reflective journals, and practitioner/collaborative enquiry to foster skills, behaviours and mindsets allowing middle leaders to continually develop self-awareness. Self-awareness and reflection lies at the heart of VIBE for Middle Leaders and delegates who successfully complete the programme are now awarded Professional Recognition in self evaluation.

Tree of Knowledge is currently accepting candidates for the fifth and sixth cohorts of VIBE for Middle Leaders, running from 21st April 2021 to the end of June 2021. The cost per delegate is £599 + VAT for the full virtual programme.

Ideal candidates for VIBE for Middle Leaders include principal teachers, faculty heads, pastoral leads and aspiring leaders. We ask that delegates are sponsored by their SLT to participate in this programme as practitioner/collaborative enquiry forms a substantial element of VIBE.

VIBE accepts a maximum of 12 practitioners per programme from a range of local authorities, primary, secondary and further education settings. These conditions foster the perfect environment for deep critical reflection and professional dialogue (in a virtual or face-to-face environment), cross collaborative working, and supports the development of a strong professional network for the future.
