Just because you’re now in your later teens, doesn’t mean you aren’t afraid of anything. It’s likely you’ve grown out of most of your childhood fears, at least the ones about monsters under the bed and cooked broccoli anyway.

Fear is an innate human characteristic. We’re born with a “fight or flight” response that never goes away.

In fact, adolescence can be an exceptionally fearful time in a person’s life. While many of your peers might not be prepared to admit it in public, you’d be amazed to hear that most teenagers share the same fears. And guess what? There’s lots of them!

Common teenage fears include the fear of failure, the fear of change, the fear of the unknown, the fear of letting people down, of rejection, of missing out and the fear of embarrassment.
