Personal insecurities are powerful. How powerful? They are so powerful that an insecurity from one aspect of your life can create negative ripples in other aspects of your life that are COMPLETELY unrelated! It’s important to know that adults, young-adults, and all individuals from all areas of life have insecurities that can easily cripple their mindset and hold them back.  Insecurities can make us hesitate, miss out on opportunities, create excuses and not project the true talented human we are to the world.

How do we conquer our own personal insecurities? It has to come from building up our own self-confidence. Easier said than done, right? We all know building confidence does not happen overnight or even over weeks or months. Self-confidence is a muscle that needs to be exercised daily and developed throughout our lives.

Here are a few actions that can help you grow that confidence muscle.

Self-confidence will naturally develop when we incorporate the following actions into our everyday lives:

1- Communicating clearly to others (speaking and emailing kindly, yet truthfully)

2- Finding new opportunities to jump on (growing and learning through new experiences)

3- Complimenting and praising others (lifting up other people just because)

4- Getting comfortable with the uncomfortable (safely pushing ourselves mentally, physically, and/or emotionally)

Can you imagine if each day you tried one of the 4 actions above? Not only would each regular day of ours start to feel even more exciting and special, but our day would be empowering and full of growth with each positive action we take. Each day would become an extra sprinkle of confidence in your overall stew of confidence.  Mmmmmm…..can you smell that stew cooking?
