The company you keep has a direct impact on your level of activity. Are you surrounding yourself with individuals who are making healthy choices and taking advantage of those “physically active” moments? It is imperative to find people who bring the best out of you and push you to be a better version of yourself.
We want to encourage you to keep your eyes open for people in your life that stand out as being “active” humans. What makes them active? Are they runners, weight lifters, or walkers? Do they build a workout routine into their lives everyday? Observe these individuals and make mental notes and goals of how you can integrate their healthy habits into your routine.
Here comes the fun part…. If you are having trouble thinking of consistent, physically active people in your life, this is where YOU come in! Create a weekly calendar for you and your friends to follow in terms of physical activity objectives!
For example:
Monday- only take the stairs and don’t use the elevator.
Tuesday- try to be the person who accumulates the most steps during their day.
Wednesday- dare we say, virtual or in-person dance party??
