Created by teachers, psychologists and performers, each resource blends humour, storytelling and reflection to make learning stick.
Whether used together as a full journey or as standalone experiences, We’re Aff tae the Big School and Big School Ready create meaningful moments to pause, connect and feel ready for what comes next. This could be in a busy assembly, a quiet classroom or a conversation at home.
All About We're Aff tae the Big School - The Live Event
We’re Aff Tae The Big School is our flagship national transition event, streamed live into classrooms across the UK on Thursday 11th June.
Created to support every primary 7 pupil, the event offers a boost of confidence, energy and reassurance as they get ready to leave primary and step into secondary.
This 75-minute virtual celebration brings thousands of pupils together in one shared moment, helping them feel more connected, more informed, and more excited for what’s next.

Big school Ready - A REady-To-use Transition pack
Our Big School Ready Pack is designed to give teachers the tools and confidence to support pupils as they prepare for the move to secondary school.
Created by teachers, psychologists, and performers, the pack includes four flexible, video-led lessons that can be used in classrooms at any time during the summer term.
Each lesson explores a different theme linked to transition, such as:
Building resilience
Using empathy and kindness
Getting support when things feel tricky
Thinking ahead together as a family
The pack is structured to make delivery easy and impactful:
Video-led content that guides each step of the lesson
Clear teaching notes to support discussion and reflection
Practical activities that encourage pupils to think, chat, and grow in confidence
Optional recap videos to revisit ideas later on
The pack is designed to complement our live event We’re Aff Tae the Big School, but can also be used on its own.
