Learning at Work Week 2026 - The Joy of getting better

A Special Learning at Work Week Session for Organisations - Monday 18th May

We are inviting a small group of organisations to join this live session as part of Learning at Work Week 2026.

Ideal for HR, L&D and leadership teams looking for an energising way to start Learning at Work Week.

Join Gavin Oattes for a live virtual session designed to energise learning, confidence and curiosity across your organisation during Learning at Work Week.

Most workplace learning doesn’t happen in training rooms.

Some of the most powerful learning in our careers doesn’t happen on courses.

It happens through challenges, conversations, mistakes, curiosity and reflection in the middle of real work.

During Learning at Work Week, organisations across the UK take time to focus on development, growth and learning cultures.

This engaging live session with Gavin Oattes explores how confidence and curiosity help people recognise the learning already happening around them, and how organisations can create environments where progress, performance and wellbeing grow together.

Blending storytelling, psychology and practical reflection, this session will leave your people feeling energised about learning and motivated to keep getting better.

Session Overview

In today’s fast-moving world of work, learning no longer happens only in scheduled development sessions. It happens constantly through experience, conversations, reflection and experimentation.

Yet many people still underestimate how much they are already learning in their day-to-day work.

In this energising session, Gavin explores how confidence and curiosity play a central role in learning and performance, encouraging participants to recognise the development already happening around them and explore simple ways to build more learning into everyday work.

Through storytelling, humour and moments of reflection, Gavin encourages participants to think about their own experiences of learning and growth, creating an engaging and thought-provoking experience for everyone involved.
