What does it mean to be calm?
Sometimes feeling calm can mean lots of different things to different people. Being calm can mean feeling quiet or peaceful.
Imagine a big storm at the seaside and all the waves are crashing onto the beach. The wind is very noisy and there are objects being blown around, like seaweed, sand and shells. Sometimes we can feel like this inside ourselves, like a big storm.
This might be anger.
Now imagine how it would feel if it was calm at the beach. Everything would be still and the waves would be gentle. There might not be any wind and you would be able to hear the birds overhead or the waves lapping gently onto the beach.
