We are beyond extremely proud of our Managing Director, Gavin Oattes, whose debut book, SHINE, was a finalist for the 2019 Business Book Awards in the Self Development category.

The Business Book Awards took place at the Grange Hotel in London last night and was an evening full of celebrating the best books in business. The awards recognised book categories such as Start-up Inspiration, Sales & Marketing, HR & Management, Embracing Change, Leadership, Self Development, Short Business Books, Specialist Book 2019 and International Business Book.

SHINE, a best seller on Amazon, is co-written with the UK’s first ever Doctor of Happiness, Andy Cope, and focuses on health and wellbeing and the world of positive psychology. Taking readers through a journey, it supports them in rediscovering their energy, happiness and purpose. Since being released to the world in 2018, SHINE has helped readers break-free from ordinary and embrace a life of extraordinary and turns ONE on Saturday.

“It’s a mix of stories, real psychology and science but it’s presented in a way which is truly entertaining and engaging. It helps readers become the best version of themselves.”

The self-development book has transformed lives and continues to inspire positive change to readers throughout the UK and beyond.

“I thought if one person who’s not a family member or a friend buys this, reads this, likes it and finds it helpful I’d have been delighted but to have thousands contact us saying all of this, it’s incredible to know that is actually making a difference”

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be this time round, but our Gav is incredibly honoured to be recognised within the industry and couldn’t be more proud of SHINE for inspiring, supporting and empowering many people.

From us all at Tree of Knowledge we’d like to say a massive congratulations to Fiona Murden whose book, Defining You, won in the Self Development category.

Gavin’s third book, ZEST, is due for release in July 2019. ZEST is described to be ‘the opposite of bland’ and is full of enthusiasm, eagerness and drives readers to rethink, rejuvenate and reinvent.

To quote Andy Cope, “Next year, we’ll be back bigger, better, funnier and zestier” and we can’t wait.
